I've come to realize that graduate school in the theatre is a heck of a lot different than graduate school for something like...education or physics. I am enrolled in a puppet making class and as part of the class I have learned how to carve florist foam. As part of my Halloween project I made these!

Yep, giant green skeleton hands. I'll post more pictures when I get more work done. It's due on the Wednesday before Halloween and I think I'll be done. The next project is for Sweeney Todd. I started the dress last Tuesday and I'm almost done. I'm going to leave the final say to the designer, Amanda.

By the way, it's supposed to be tacky, hence the fringe trim. I'm sort of excited by it.
More to come...

Did you seriously make that dress? It is amazing and slightly tacky :) Hope you are having fun!
Of course I made the dress! I CAN sew :) The designer handed me the pattern and the fabric and said, Have at it!
I truly envy your artist hands! Keep posting pictures of your awesome projects! Seriously...those florist foam hands are kind of fantastic. :)
You are so talented! Love the dress!
