The reason behind the shock

My oldest and best friend passed away yesterday from cancer, a brain tumor specifically. She was 26, and she and her husband were weeks away from celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary with their 2 1/2 year old daughter. I don't really have any profound words right now. Lariann Evans Bredthauer was my best friend and I loved her like a sister. I've decided to let a collection of pictures speak for themselves.

Oh how heart wrenching! I didn't realize at first who it was but was shocked to see I also knew her. I hope you are hanging in there. Sure does make you realize how precious life can be.

Thank you for posting all these adorable pictures of Lari. I had finally stopped crying for the day until I went blog checking and now I'm just sobbing again.
I am so glad that you got to come see her before the end. One of my companions and best friends passed away last year and I kick myself for not making the trip to Idaho Falls to see her before they turned off the machines.
She loved you so much. Thank you for being such a good friend to her.

Lindsay. I don't know if you remember me from HS, but I was in dance company with you. Anyway, I was searching to find out about the funeral, and found your page. Do you know when/where it is?

I just saw on facebook, and I was like, is it THAT Lariann? I'm shocked, and it makes me so so sad. She was always so so nice. You know what, I can't remember where I was but I saw her awhile ago from far away, with her daughter, and I was thinking to myself, is that Lariann from high school?? But I never went over to say hi cause I wasn't positive it was her, and I really wish I did. I am so sorry, you two were so close.

I enjoyed seeing these pictures of Lariann, too, though it just made me start balling again. The last time I saw Lariann was almost two years ago and she seemed like she was doing so good. I often got updates on her because my mom who works at the city knew the firemen and was friends with Scott. She called and told me what happened this morning and it's so sad. I loved Lariann and will miss her so much.

I am so sad at the loss of Lariann. She has been such a trooper the past few years. My heart goes out to Scott, Lucy, Jerry and Lorraine and everyone else who was close to Lariann. I knew her because my daughter went to school with her and I've come to know Scott (Boomer) through my work at Kaysville City. I hope God will pour out many blessings on this good family. Thanks for posting the pictures. What joy to see Lariann growing up. Bless you!

Lindsay, I am so sorry to hear about Lari. She was an amazing person and I hope that you are doing ok with her passing. I know that you guys were really close forever. I hope that her husband and little girl are doing ok also. Last time we talked about Lari she and her husband were planning a trip to London. I hope they did so that he can have some good memories.

Oh my goodness, I had no idea. I'm so sorry to hear that. How sad for her cute little family. She sure was lucky to have a friend like you during her time here on earth. I'm thinking of you... and her family.
