I'm not Oprah but...

I'd like to dedicate this blog to some of my favorite things. Unfortunately, unlike Oprah I can't hand out my favorite things to anyone who reads my blog.

First up is my absolute favorite blush EVER. It's a gel blush that I am certain will last me through grad school. I love this stuff because it gives my ghostly face a healthy blush, it lasts all day, and it smells nice too. I was hesistant at first because I'm sort of a lummox and sometimes I struggle with tricky make up. This is easy to apply even for a klutz like me (lummox is my new favorite word, it's another word for klutz.)

This is Artec's Blow Serum, which is an awkward name for a fruit scented hair product. I don't really need something that is heavy, just something to keep my hair from going staticky. I like this stuff because it is SO much easier to blow dry my hair after I apply it. The brush just glides through my hair.

Above is a picture of the source of much thievery on the part of my youngest sister. I bought this brush while on my mission and I LOVE it. It's a Marilyn Brush, Tuxedo Pro Round 3". It's just fabulous. Not fabulous is when my sweet sister tries to sneak into my room early in the morning to use it on her swoopy bangs. I tell her that she needs to get her own but she just says something like, "a buh buh buh buh" while shaking her hand.

On our next stop is my current reading material. I first attempted "Jane Eyre" when I was in junior high. I didn't get very far. I tried again as a senior in high school and once again, didn't get very far. My most recent attempt was this week and I am happy to say that it has been a success. I love this book.

Here is a picture of the Vietamese Chicken Salad Rolls from Pei Wei. They come with a peanut sauce and a sweet chile sauce. I'm not usually one for spicy but I adore the chile sauce, the peanut one, not so much.

I'm going through a pretty big George Harrison phase. He's my favorite Beatle and I like his solo stuff the most. He's great and very underrated.

Last of all (and best of all) is my family. I love them!

Sorry again about the lack of free stuff.

Nice products! It's funny how just a little dab of something on your face or in your hair makes getting ready for the day a little more enjoyable! I love your family pic, I can't believe how much everyone has grown up!

I think the picture of George Harrison you selected makes him look like Jesus.
